REFUGEE MARRIAGE EDUCATION

:: BACKGROUND

The Refugee Marriage Education Program (in its pilot stage) started in August 2004, with Social Services Agency of Orange County acting as the Contractor with the Office of Refugee Resettlement in Washington, D.C. Saint Anselm's, Catholic Charities of Orange County, and the Cambodian Family, Inc. were sub-contractors in a collaborative. However, in 2006 the collaborative with a newly-joined partner of the East African Community of Orange County directly applied for the Program with O.R.R. and was granted.

This Program is projected for 5-year period, with 2007 being the first year of operation.
