ACACIA / OCTA TRANSPORTATION
 
:: BACKGROUND
 

Connections with Acacia Adult Day Care Centers recently developed as the Center has been noted for its Senior Non-emergency Medical Transportation services to resident seniors.

At first, we started with a small group of 8 client seniors who needed to attend the Day Care Center's daily activities. Then in March 2007, we have served all clients of the Center. In June 2007, we extended our Transportation Service to participant seniors of Acacia in North-West of the county located in the City of Cypress.

         
:: SERVICES
 

Program's clientele consists of Seniors of 60 plus years of age in Orange County. Of this, 50% are of Vietnamese Ethnicity, and 50% of Non-Vietnamese origin.

Acacia OCTA Transportation program provides Seniors with Door-to-Door transportation to their daily activities at Acacia Adult Day Care Center and back home in Garden Grove and in Cypress.

         
:: ACHIEVEMENTS
  Currently, we are serving 80 seniors to both the Acacia Adult Day Care Centers on Main Street in Garden Grove City, and the Acacia Adult Day Care Center in Cypress with around 1,800 trips per month.
