Saint Anselm's has been chosen among the 2008 Safety Net Award recipients. Of the five recipients in Orange County, the Center won the first place of the award.

The Safety Net Award recognizes and honors organizations supporting CalOptima's mission as Michael Stephens of CalOptima Board Chair and retired hospital CEO said, "CalOptima recognizes the important role community-based organizations play in supporting the vulnerable populations of Orange County and we acknowledge their commitment to this mission. The county continues to face the difficulties of the uninsured in accessing quality health care, and this award will provide additional financial resources to help address this problem."

CalOptima announced the Award Recipient(s) at the CalOptima Board of Directors meeting on
June 03, 2008 at 1120 West La Veta Ave. in Orange from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.
