The Center not only prepared for the Open House but also had a competition between departments. Staff in each department would decorate their office door before the voting date, which was December 14, 2007.

The atmosphere of the Holiday Season seemed to start early December at the Center. While keeping up with the working pace, staff devoted their time in decorating their offices, the Center's lobby and the stage for the Open House.

Our first-price winner for the competition was Family Basic Needs Department. Looking at the office door, passers-by could somehow guess and know the services offered at this department. Their staff, indeed, successfully showed their daily activities through decoration, which made them deserve to be the WINNER of the Holiday Door Contest.

The second-place winner of the contest was Citizenship Department. Passers-by would be started with Santa Claus' saying: "HoHoHo, Happy Holidays" and "Have you been helped". Staff demonstrated the welcoming attitude through their decoration. This also encouraged clients to stop by and come in to seek for assistance with immigration benefits and services.
